My approach
I will meet you with warmth, compassion and a steady presence. I see therapy as a conversation between us both. At the heart of this process is developing awareness and I will help guide you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself and to strengthen your own inner resources.
Together, we will gently bring into focus patterns and beliefs that may be shaping your life but that may no longer be serving you.
I encourage a collaborative approach between us and we will work at a pace that feels right for you.
My psychotherapeutic approach is integrative which means that I adapt my way of working to each person. People come to therapy at different points in their lives along with different needs, so working in this way allows me to meet you where you are. I listen, without judgement, to whatever it is you would like to talk to me about.
While we may explore aspects of the past to better understand the present, our primary focus remains on how you are currently experiencing your life. This will help support us in exploring possible changes that you may wish to make, gently addressing issues that may be getting in the way of living a more balanced, fulfilling life and of connecting with others.
I understand that starting therapy may feel like a big step, so my focus is on offering a calm, warm and non judgemental space for you to be yourself. Know that I am on your side, to help you figure things out.
